Hi All
My focus 2.0l tdci is really strugling to start once it is warm, if i keep ignition key turned it will eventually run.I have checked all pipes and fittings etc and all seems ok, the only other thing it does is hesitate on tickover every 5 seconds or so.
Any help or advice will be appreciated
Thanks in advance

i would check your fuel filter, easiest and cheapest place to start.

I have already changed fuel filter and made no difference, its one of those annoying little problems which will eventually get sorted

Its located where the gearbox meets the engine, it picks up a signal from the flywheel.
Not entirely sure if it can be tested though im afraid.

will have a look in morning, hopefully no rain,
if it is faulty will it cause problems starting ??
i was thinking a fuel problem.
a quick test would be to swap sensors with another focus.

I've not heard of many problems with them on the focus but certainly other cars, and causing poor running when the sensor gets hot - starts breaking down
certainly swapping the sensor or getting one from a breakers yard would help.
