anyone care to shed some light on my little problemo? the heaters on my 2003 zetec will only work on full blast (setting number 4) nothing else on 1 to 3. help.

If the dial is working then i would suggest that there is a fault with the resistor for the motor.

Yes, you need a new resistor pack. Setting 4 bypasses the resistor pack totally, which is why that setting works. I've had this problem on both my Focuses

One quick fix is to remove the resistor and solder a wire onto each end of the little diode.
