Model is focus 1.8 zetec petrol 51 plate

it could be the hydrolic lifters tapping, have you changed the oil lately? the zetec is sensitive to the wrong grade of oil,too thick an oil could restrict the lifters and cause a rattle,but without an inspection its difficult to say for sure.
