Hi, I have mondeo estate 2.0 ddci 2003. The red light on the clock is flashing when i put the keys in the ignition. I have had an auto electrician out and he told me i need the the immobiliser reprogramming but i phoned a bloke who does this and he told me it was my starter motor or alternator that was the problem. Can you tell what the red light means when its flashing on the clock please?

the red light is indeed the immobiliser light, and would indicate you have a problem with it or the key..
