So DPFs get carbon particulates out of the exhaust to meet Euro regulations, right?

Is carbon particulate output something that's measured as part of the MOT (yet)?

i think its just a smoke test, anyways a guy i know took his DPF out and remapped his car, took it to his MOT and passed with better results (of what i made of it). heres the link:
