Hi, on my old escort, the dimmers worked the head ligths, when the side ligths was on, the head ligths came on at a reduced power setting, it could be posible it does, the same thing on the new focus. or it could just mean that the dails dimm at night..

Seem to have tried everything all seams to work how ever you set it up. You can use the coming home function in two ways, you can set the amount of time that the lights stay on, or you can pull the lights stalk then the lights stay on that way.Setting the dimming function doesn't seam to have any effect.

It's to control the dimming of the instruments. If you have it set to AUTO the buttons on the lower right of the steering column have no effect. If you set it to MANUAL the buttons adjust the brightness up and down.
I have mine on AUTO, works fine so far.

Hi, I thought it was only to do with dimming the lcd screens when it is dark so they don't distract the driver....
