If its on an 02 plate focus it should be exactly the same as my mk1. removing the knuckle is probably the best way but getting the ball joint out of the knuckle can be a nightmare (without destroying it) and also the driveshaft does tend to stick in there aswell so you might need a tool like [url="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Laser-Hub-Puller-4-4-1-2-3699-/400075837457?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item5d2660d011#ht_2550wt_911"]this[/url]
