Hi folks im new here and this is my first post so please be gentle on me lol. Ive got a 2008 focus 1.6 zetec and discovered that ive got the sockets and wiring for footwell lights. Heres the problem, ive put in the bulbs but no luck. Cant seem to find out which fuse controls these lights and wondering what else i can do to get them working. Was like a lil child to discover i had somethin i didnt know i had only for it not to work! Any tips or pointers folks?

I see you're in ireland. From reading other threads on this topic, it appears that they need activating in the ECU by Ford in Ireland for some strange reason.

Yea was reading one of the threads alright and was getting that impression. Why couldnt ford make life easy especially when they already have everything there. Yea you guessed right im from the lovely Ireland

Ive activated mine last week mate,
if you purchase 4metres of cable from this Guy Click Here

then take out your centre light in the roof of the car at the front,
put the positivu to the single feed on the right hand side and the negative to the black on the opposite side,

then run the cable down the passenger side pillar, putting it under the door seal, which just pulls straight out,

remove the glove box and run the cable behind it,
my advise is forget about the loom that is currently their for the footwell lights and run this new cable to both bulb sockets, snipping the sockets from the existing loom,

because the existing loom also feeds in to parts of the engine, and adding power to this can cause more harm than good when you dont completly know where the power is going to aswell as the footwell lights.

alternativly i have this loom left from installing my ignition ring light, it filters the cables from the centre light, without the need to snip or splice them leaving you a possitive and negative feed to run down to the footwells, all you need then is 2 metres of cable to run to both bulb sockets, ill send it to you for the postage cost of 5euro if you want mate, see picture below.
