Hi,
Does anyone know the fuse for the side lights on an SMAX?
I have an MOT booked tomorrow and the near-side light is out (already switched the bulbs)
thanks for any hints.
Cheers,
Dave

It's listed in the manual. There are 3 fuse boxes on the smax - one in the engine bay, one in the passenger footwell and one in the rear n/s boot.

sadly the manual doesn't actually tell you which fuse is for the side lights :-(

I would guess it's either F9 or F13 on the passenger footwell fusebox as they're related to the front lights.

Ah, I've just checked on this, and the answer is as follows:
Unfortunately, the sidelights are not fused.
They are controlled directly by the CJB (central junction box).
My advice would be to check the car for an earth fault, wiring fault at the light cluster, break in the wire or a short to earth (low ohm bulb)?
You could also try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins to reset the CJB.
Sounds like you may have a problem there.... sorry.

Thanks for the pointers, Just checked again with more time after work and it's front and rear side lights which aren't working.
Cjb? Or a fuse?

FYI battery reset solved the problem.
Thanks for the tip.

Glad you got it sorted - I would expect a new CJB to be an expensive replacement!
