Ah... Thats a point!! I never mentioned!!
I found out yesterday, when i went to clean the bit where the old grille was, that someone has clearly reversed into me in the past.. as the old grille has scratched the paint!!!
Ive had to touch up pen quite a fair bit!! I'll have to get the polish out and cut it back now!!

How easy was it to do on the car? Got some carbon wrap today so may try that myself!!

January 29, 2013, 5:18 pm
Fairly easy, I cut a strip that was about 6 inches wide, then heated it gently and applied it. I made sure it was firmly stuck then cut the excess with a scalpel. It's a bit of a rush/bodge job but I have plans to either buy a new lip and wrap it or carbon dip it...
But this will do for now!
As long as your careful you'll be ok, I'm waiting to see how long before it peels as its not wrapped round on the top in some places as I couldn't get the credit card down the gap!!
I will take a good pic tomorrow I promise!

Anyone tried fitting a Mondeo MK4 steering into ford focus like this ? Instructions translated using google is a pretty unclear. Just wonder anyone here has done it and could write a guide in english

Would be awesome to have cruise control and all the fancy buttons for our tdci.

Fairly pleased with the results, next step will be the radio surround and associated centre console plastic!

Haha get out there and do them Preee!!
I had a spare hour while the other half was getting her nails done, carbon wrapped her bonnet lip and the two side bits of the wheel, then did the bottom one when I got back...
Was gonna wash the car but it's almost freezing here already and don't wanna create the ice rink lol!
So I'm open to carbon wrapping ideas, centre console is definitely one, thought about rear boot lip, not sure though..

what about your mirrors, outer grill trim, roof? forget that, when you doing the honeycombe grill?
i spoke to a chap on stoc forum and he does this for others and charges £60 for the conversion, he said he uses strong superglue and a few coats of paint to cover up and super glue marks. get busy!

I had the unfortunate luck of having a headlight go the other night, been replaced with halfords ultra brilliance lamps.
Always had good luck with the halfords ones, I've heard a few horror stories of lasting 3 months etc but I've clearly been lucky
Also I have a confession...... See below :(

Car washed!
For those who have asked in the past, here's a little comparison of pre and post snow foam on the car.
Pre Snowfoam
Post Snowfoam and Jetwash to remove foam and surface debris
So as you can see, Snowfoam loosens the top layer of grime and muck, mine is a fairly gentle foam too, more aggressive ones may remove more.
And here's what you should expect to see after the rinse off!
