Hi
What ratio is the 6th gear on a 6 speed box compared to 5th on a 5 speed box for the tdci engines.

Firstly... I don't know...
But secondly, I think the mk2.5 1.6tdci would have been better suited to a 6speed... 4th and 5th seem a little long legged really...

If a b6 would fit that would be great. (After the ford direct warranty expires first though lol)
2000 rpm at 70mph (the revs are high for a diesel these days)
True it really needs a 6th. Since the only tdci available for the mk2.5 was the 1.6 90 or 110

my 2.2tdci 6speed does about 70 at 2000rpm...still delivers about 60mpg on a long motorway run so im happy with it.
I had a vw golf the other week for a hire car, 1.4 tsi petrol with the 7 speed box.. 80mph at about 2500rpm lol
