Hi,

Just noticed one of my headlight bulbs has died, again! Can't believe how quickly the bulbs go on my focus, I just changed both dipped headlights to osram nightbreaker plus in September and they haven't really lasted very long. Can anyone recommend some decent bulbs that will last a bit longer but still be half decent at night? I was thinking of getting the osram ultra life as they are guaranteed for 3yrs, has anyone used these?

Last for yonks.

I used to use halfords extreme brilliance blue bulbs, but found they would last 3-6 months....
Halfords even put a little disclaimer in there, saying something about using different gasses they burn hotter so wont last as long... cheeky!!

The ultra brilliance bulbs seem to be a good balance between brightness and longevity...

i have got these bulbs fitted,[url="http://www.teamtorquesteer.co.uk/category-234/philips-x-treme-power-h4h7.html"]Philips X-Treme Power H1/H4/H7[/url], the brightest ones i could get me hands on. But i havnt seen them in comparison to the osram bulbs.
i have had them fitted for about 7months now with no problems!! (touch wood) lol

I dont know what most of you think to this, and dont say im an a** for having them but i bought hid's for £40 off ebay (new) had them in about a year and still going strong

Haha, most people have a real big hatrid for them, personally if they light up the road and dont full on blind people i dont mind them, them headlights go really well with a hid kit, you can set the beam up so it looks just like xenons theres a couple of vids on youtube
