i have a ford focus mk2 (2005) there is a knocking noise coming from front of car,but it only does it when driving car first thing on a morning when its cold.after ive driven it for a few miles and its warm the knocking noise disappears.any suggestions as what could be causing this as its doing my head in?

What sort of knocking? rrhythmic, speed dependant, erratic, ocassional, repeated?
