I have recently bought the above car on a 58 plate with 44,000 on the clock from a Ford main dealer. Shortly after we bought it we noticed a bad flat spot at junctions / roundabouts, put your foot down and you had to wait to go! Took it back in for this problem and they said they had remapped it with an updated programme? Anyway, flat spot not there but it sounds like a tractor and now shudders when switched off! Still has the same acceleration, but does seem a bit more juicy!

Anybody any ideas so that I can go back forearmed?

take it back dave and tell them to sort it out. mines like yourswas, really slugish at take off and now and again rattles like a tractor but sadly no warranty. might get it remapped to see if this helps. will probably give it a service too to see if this helps.
