hi all

my mark2 mondeo drivers side light stopped working, I played around with it and removed this piece, the connections were not meeting otherwise, the light works now, is it ok to leave this piece off?

Don't know but it looks like a blank plug from the picture

that part sits into the connection of the light itself, the blue part is plastic that seems to hold the connection with the wires in it, and the red part is just a red rubber which goes around the edge.
