hi i have tried using the aux to my phone but it doesnt work however having tried in another car it has work..does anyone know where the fault may lie

I'd check that the connections are clipped in properly.

I had to replace mine, aux plug snapped inside the connection. Only cost a few quid from Ford but was bit fiddly getting faulty one out as it was held in place by one way clips. Had to break them but it was faulty so didn't matter to much. Easy to put new one in and the cable underneath only connects one way. Good luck :-)
