My ford focus 'y' plate is hunting in low revs can anyone help on diagnosis please?

Whats it trying to hunt?

possibly MAF sensor needing a clean?

hunting is normal low revs the car will optimise the emissions by continually varying the fuel and idle speed known issue most if not all mk1 do hunt slightly you cant change it do dash test if revs are between 670 and 730 when warmed up its normal below 630 idle speed control valve
