The passenger door on my ford focus estate will not unlock......which means I can not get the door panel off to have a look.........any help would be most grateful bank holiday and everywhere closed.
Has it been raining there?
If so it's probably water in the lock solenoid.
Does the door motor make any noise on central locking/unlocking?
I'd check the motor, wiring etc for gunging up and damage.

Yes it makes a noise but nothing happens ?
Sounds to me like the actuator arm has come adrift from the lock.
May just need reconnecting.
If the plastic clip has broken , then i'm afraid there is no easy way to open it.

Internal door card physically removed to gain access(new one needed)

Wind window dwon remove the glass rebbers in and out , window back up , and push seal off the bootom , then window back down , you will then need a steal pointed bar about 2 feet long to break the plastic surround on the lock , or maybe a coat hanger to try and pull the internal latch.

Or as Stoney said maybe the water is just causing problems in there.
