Hi. I have a problen with my ford fiesta finesse (2000) and wonder if you can help me diagnose what's wrong. When I pull up at junctions etc the engine cuts out. The battery/ignition light comes on on the dashboard. I can then start the car without any problems, so it's the cutting out that's the problem. I'd like to know what the problem might be before going to a garage, being a dithering old woman who doesn't understand cars!

this is usually down to the iscv (idle speed control valve) requiring cleaning or replacing.
