I love the fact that she mentions the market.
Been there many times with the wife and outlaws (in laws).
The market is half in the north and half in the south.
PSNI turn up and all the dodgy gear moved to the other end of the tables.
Likewise with the Garda.
It was funny when they got their heads together and turned up at the same time.
Never seen so much running and vehicles screaming away.

I'd get twitchy when people were buying fireworks, they'd be firing them off right next to the trailer they were selling them from.
They would see the fireball in Derry.

Excellent, Lenny. We used to have a market like that in Glasgow. It was called 'Paddy's Market'. You could purchase all manner of goods there! One day I went to buy a vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, H.M. Revenue and Customs were there also, checking out all the traders. They made me open the dust bag in the hoover to check in case it was full of counterfeit fags! Lol.

The market in East Belfast is the same, 2lb of spuds, a cabbage and 200 L&B.
The place has more plain clothes peelers than customers.
Belfast is great, even the window cleaners sell cigarettes door to door.

I can get away with saying this because the other half is in Hospital for a few days --- the Northern Irish can be well shifty.
They know all the scams and tricks.
I was lucky to do some work with the PSNI and the Garda a while back and the cons that i saw were very cheeky, (agricultural diesel in most taxi's, dodgy cigarettes available everywhere, heating oil theft, illegal bars, illegal gambling - the list is endless)

Tut at such shady goings on.
I've bought some "cheap" diesel for my Sierra a few times from under Byker bridge.
Shoved vege oil through it, my Mk2 Mondeo and my Peugeot 406 occasionally with no apparent harm but I'm loathe to try it on my 06 Mondeo 2.2.
I just daren't chance it on one of the best cars I've had.

No matter how well it's filtered, 'agricultural' diesel will still show colour in it and stain the fuel filter badly.
If you get caught with it in your tank or with evidence of usage, the car will be impounded for a Customs investigation, and a huge fine for tax evasion is likely.
Not worth it at all.
