Have an 2006 1.8TDCI - two faults

1. When pulling away the car stalls, when i put my put on the accelerator the revs dont kick in staright away and it stalls.

2. Occasionally at speed, 60-70 the car seems to lose power for a second and then kick back in, but it does this repeatidly.

Any pointers would be helpfuul

if this was a petrol would say clean out throttle body, breather pipes etc....... but i could be the egr valve...... unsure just what i read on the net...... where it is and how to clean im unsure of... maybe 1 of the lads on here give u some more additional advice
