1.8 04 petrol

I have this slight knocking noise at slow speeds like in stop start driving and gentle braking and going over speed bumps. Today it sounded a little louder than usual.
It does sound like its coming from the passenger side.

I'm just wondering what this might be ? and where I should start looking ? hopefully there us some dry weather this weekend and I can have a poke around.

Chech the exhaust isn't loose could be rattling on something

also check the anti roll bar links

Nearside track rod end.

as stated, anti roll bar bushes, wishbone, drop links, mayb tie rod, mayb cracked spring, loose engine mount, play in drive shaft. take ya wheel off just use a small jimmy bar on all steering componants, look for leaks, excessive bush wear etc...

Worn top mounts can do this. You get a knocking noise even when on a road that is only slightly uneven.

Discovered the fault thanks to you helpful folks.

Took the drop link off, bottom balljoint was fine top one flopped all over the place. Also the balljoint rubber was ripped/split so no grease and exposed aswell.

I replaced it, a bit fiddly but done in an hour. Took it for a drive seems no noise. Will keep my eye on it to make sure it is gone. But so far so good.
