Hi,
can anyone tell me what this is? it has a split in it so am going to replace it myself to avoid a trip to the garage.
Luckily the split is on the top otherwise i wouldnt have found it. its been 'whooshing' for a few weeks and theres a slight loss of power as well so need to get a new one ordered, so i need to know what it is! thanks.
my car is an 05 focus 1.6 tdci

they manufacture gel badge overlays so you could change the blue oval to match the colour of your car or taste

the pipe that you have a split in is the induction feed pipe to add preissure to the inlet manifold.

enter your car registration and read the details of your focus, [/b]

if the engine is a DV6 then the pipe you require is[b] FINIS1440440[/b]

and if it is a EEC7 then the pipe you require is[b] FINIS1440439[/b]

and regardless of engine type it is also recommended when changing it that you also change the Gasket seal which is [b]FINIS1509352 [/b]and less than £5

so if you go to your local ford dealer parts desk and request parts
the inlet pipe
and
[b]FINIS1509352 is the gasket [/b]
[b]they will charge you around £36.16 excluding VAT for both parts combined. [/b]
[b]you wont need to explain anything to them just request the finis codes. [/b]

im not sure if it is a dealer only item to be honest but as far as dealer prices go, its not too bad in my opinion
