The boot on my july 2008 mondeo zetec wont open with the key fob any ideas what it could be????...rest of doors all opening with the key fob and the key itself...there is no other way of opening the boot besides climbing in the boot and dismantling it from the inside.

Your lock solenoid has probably packed up.
Check your fuses first and also the wiring to the boot for breaks or shorts.
