Hi All,

I am new to this and would like to know if any of you can offer me any advise on my car.

Recently my air bag light and my handbrake warning light stopped working completely on the instrument panel. Even to the extent where you turn the ignition on these 2 lights no longer illuminate. Everything else appears to illuminate as it should.

I have had the instrument panel out by a registered garage electrician who has checked the board and advised that as far as they can see, the board and the circuit panel including LED's appear to be OK.

Do any of you know what can cause this?

Is there a fuse that could operate a number of the lights but not all? Seems unlikely but I don't really want to take to Ford and pay expensive diagnostic charges for something potentially easy to fix.

I don't have an owners manual so have no idea which fuse is which or I would have checked.

Anything else I could check.

Thanks in advance!!

If it will help there is a link to a MK2 manual in my signature.

first you can try to check the fuse and then disconnect the battery be carefull messing arround with airbags they can deploy and hurt you hope this helps, if the light is still on, you need to check the front airbag sensor.
