The rear wiper and window demister have stopped working. Any idea anybody? I have recently been using a bike rack to carry a couple of cycles, it is the proper one that goes over the spoiler but I wonder if this hd something to do with it.

Check the wiring loom between the roof and the boot.
The wires get brittle and snap.

Many thnx for reply. Wires checked, all intact and in good condition too.....

Try spraying WD40 on the hinges of the boot (rear gate) lid and working it up and down, reason being the earth goes through the hinges.

Also make sure the pins on the boot are free and making contact with the copper plates on the rear panel.
