I have finally got rid of my problem focus, I bought another for £40:00, put it in for mot it passed first time no advisories.

Only one problem with this car, if i switch on aircon button, the light lights up, but nothing happens.

I have checked all fuses, any ideas anyone.

The system probably needs re-gassing.
If the system pressure is down the AC pump clutch will not engage to protect the pump.
Most garages have the kit to work on them and will drain, pressure/leak test, lubricate and refill for a reasonable cost.
