Hi, it won't let me post in the classifieds but I am looking for a replacement saloon parcel shelf for my 59 plate focus. Bought it from dealer and the one it has is almost snapped in half. Can't be bothered to chase them as I have had problem after problem.

Have been keeping an eye out on eBay, if any users know of one going spare, let me know!

Hi talksy,

I know you mentioned eBay already but talk to some of the salvage guys who don't necessarily list all parts but will, when asked list by request - plenty of suitable Mk2.5 donor cars to be found

Thanks Stu, I have been mass emailing most of them, as I don't get time to call during work. I saw some fixed price ones on ebay for like £65-75 quid!!! Pricey.
Its so annoying as I have one, it is just bent right down the middle, and isn't repairable.

Hi, thanks for your post. I went through the listings in the link Stu posted above, and have had loads of replies to my enquiry email. Most saying sorry none in stock, but one has got back and said they should have a few in next week and can do it for £35 inc postage. Fingers crossed as that is much cheaper than some of the other ebay ones! Hopefully they have got a nice one which is clean and not damaged. :)

I'm toying with buying a spare parcel shelf for a wee project myself.
As I use a dog grill most of the time I'm fed up that invariably my shelf spends most of it's line in the shed or on the back seat.
I'm reckoning that if I get a spare one and remove the hinge pins and about an inch off the back of it and punch some slots for Velcro straps I'll be able to attach the back directly to the grill and still maintain a solid hinge point.
Anyone cut one before and know how easy it will be to get a nice straight edge?
