I often charge my iphone or ipod from the cigar lighter using a cigar to usb plug converter. It works very well, but it has a small light on it which never goes out. The cigar sockets on my Focus 2009 are live even with the ignition off. So I am trying to find an adaptor which does not have a light which will waste my battery power.

I know I could take it out every time, but you forget, and also it is tight and hard to pull out.

I have seen this, but I am sure this has a light behind that black shiny plastic:

I was also interested in getting a doubler like this, but again, it seems to have a light:

Can anyone give me suggestions for what they went for?

I have the first one, it works well and its small so no complaints

I always remove mine, problem is if you have one of those plugged in and someone spots it, they may just pop the window just in case there's a sat nav or something.

the led light will draw so little power, approx 0.025amps you could leave it on for weeks without starting the car and it wouldnt effect the battery
