When I first start my car in the morning and pull off then stop at the junction on several occasions the car would rev up 3,000 revs even tho foot is on clutch and brake.Its very random as once its warm then it stops ? Any ideas ?

sounds like either electrical or the idle control valve given some of the other issues you have ide say maybe electrical
