I have a 2005 Focus Climate petrol engine and have been advised that one of the solenoids needs replacing. Does anyone have an idea how much one of these will cost? I noticed that one of the four that are positioned at the top of the engine has been replaced before I bought car with the one attached left in the boot!

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thats a ti vct cam solenoid and is a dealer only part and not something they have on the shelf as for price im not sure expect to pay £40 upward for it

if the solenoid replacement doesnt fix the issue then its the cam phaser thats at fault and a far more expensive job so lets hope it is the solenoid as when diagnosed it will show that as the fault you replace it and a few days later the same fault appears
