Just a general question to find out what everyones favourite car related programs/films are?
I tend to love watching Police interceptors and general programs like that love the Fast and furious films and that aswel

professionals sweeney, car chase in bullit, car chase in bourne identity.

I love anything with a good car chase in it lol

Might be a bit off topic in terms of high speed action.
But very on topic with car related viewing aswell as top class comedy, mixed with proper education.
I highly recomend watching all 5 series of Mighty Car Mods on YouTube and subscribe yourself in time for series 6

Grab a cup of tea or bottle of beer, sit down for an hour or two and watch all these.

I think you mean quantum of solace.
IIRC the ST (and even then only a mock up which bears little resemblance to the actual ST for sale) was in the Sweeney film.

Stoney your right, they showed it in the Top Gear episode which they guys ruined.
i like the fast n furious movies too, good music, silly cars and a few hot chicks!
others are the italian job, the bourne movies, faster, cannon ball run, bullitt, vanishing point, smokey and the bandit, ronin, gone in 60 seconds and Cars (the cartoon lol!)

The car chase in Ronin is excellent, Bullitt one was best up until then.
Vanishing Point was great until the JCB interfered

I too, like the fast and furious films (some) (well...the 1st is the best for me) but correct me if I'm wrong, but the beginning of the film with the 3 black hondas, the engine sounds are actually motorbike sounds editted in, is this correct? Sure I read it somewhere.

But if its not, just love the sound, not only that but the RX7 as well.

I don't really like the scenes in the bond movies, as I hate watching nice cars getting destroyed

My drive to Warrington each morning should be filmed, thats always a bond movie waitin to happen with the idiots on these roads.

my fav at the mo is born to race, think it came out late 2011, but it features a 2004 jdm twin scroll scoob and races against big v'8 the main one in the film is a new mustang..... this is like fast and furious, but without the fancy graphics etc....

whats the movie like?
i hate it when the movie is crap but there is one or two scenes in the whole movie that are ace but the rest of the movie spoils it.

Fast & The Furious Films, Old 70's/80's Police car chase films, Bullit, Senna, Rush, Driven, Ronin, Driver, Le Mans, Days of Thunder, The French Connection, Taxi are all good in my book.


I remember an old film that was made by a French Filmographer who drove round the streets of Paris in an old Citreon and then recorded a Ferrari engine and then mixed it to the film...was bloody brilliant!

Just watched the sweeney there and theres a nice shiney new focus ST! Never realised it was in the film but it looks great in stunning high definition! lol got to love blurays

Dont get to watch telly alot because im always out working or the missus has got her TOWIE crap on ¬.¬ lol only get chance to watch topgear on netflix if/when i get chance to jump on the PS3. I hadnt seen the sweeney i actualy only bought it because i saw the ST on the back cover lol

Bear in mind that the ST in the film was a mock up on a standard MK3 body.
If you compare it to a real MK3 ST you can really notice the differences.
The boost guage housing was glued onto the dash and the guages were pictures.

While not really car-related programmes, but due to the cars that tend to be part of the sub-plot or like a supporting star in additional to the main characters (even if the actors disliked the cars), mine would be:

Bergerac. (I got to see the original Triumph 1800 Roadster when I was in Jersey on holiday.)
Starsky & Hutch for both Starsky's Gran Torino and Hutch's brown Ford, seriously I like both cars.
Columbo.
Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons for the SSC.
Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet for the Cheetah (red car) and the Rhino (new version of the SPV).
Dempsey & Makepeace for Sgt Makepeace's Ford Escort.
Lovejoy. for the Morris Minor Convertible which Lady Jane calls 'Miriam'.

Blue car, milky way ad. Awesome.
