I am looking to try and find a phone/mp3 holder for my 54 reg Mondeo. I have a windscreen one for my phone but want another to hold my portable DAB radio. I bought a cheapish holder but it didn't fit on the vent properly - I want it to go on the vent to the right of the steering wheel (see photo).

Can anyone recommend a good vent holder that will fit this vent?

They may not be the cheapest around but are very good, my works car has 4 seperate Brodit mounts for various bits of kit and are as solid as a rock.

You choose the bracket you want then choose the type of mount to attach to it, there is a big range available to select from.

Looks very good - how do you then fit a holder on to it?

The holder screws onto the bracket, you could basically either use a Brodit holder on it or any generic holder that sticks or screws on to a flat surface.
The mount is good because it saves putting holes in your dash or leaving sticky patches everywhere.

So I can just use any screw mounting bit from any phone holder? Sounds great!
Do you know if they're easy to screw into? Need any particular screws?

Any screw mount will do.
I'd use self tapping screws and make them just long enough to go through the mount and bracket with maybe a mil or two extra for grip.
