Hi fellas,
Got myself a steel spare on the way for the S Max but does anyone know which jack kit best fits; Mondeo or Transit? I know about VW and Audi but being new to Ford I don't know whether wheel braces and jacking points are universal. Can anyone best advise me?
Cheers!

There's a standard 16'' steel wheel which should fit; I've got 18'' titaniums on mine but changing the tyre profile on the steel wheel to match up should work out. I hope!

same as m8,18" snowflakes.
the reason i asked is as ford didnt supply a spare from what i have gleaned a lot of peeps buy a spare which isnt suitable
for our cars as they weigh iro 2 tonnes.
so i hope your spare is up to requirments?

You have bought THE WRONG WHEEL!
Yes it fits, but it's not designed for the Smax.
I cannot stress this enough DO NOT USE THAT WHEEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I have seen the results of a failed wheel due to over-load and it's NOT PRETTY and can EASILY lead to FATALITIES - not only to yourself or passengers, but to OTHER INNOCENT ROAD USERS.
And your insurance WON'T cover you in this instance.
DO THE SENSIBLE THING AND SELL THAT WHEEL TO SOMEONE WITH THE RIGHT CAR.

Ok - thanks for this. Any chance you could tell me what the right wheel is?
It seems like nobody knows the answer to that - this wheel was originally bought from Ford spares (and they're still selling them online)
What did you buy for yours?

I'm not disputing what you're saying about it being wrong - I don't know which is why I've been trying to get some info.
However if they are wrong why are they selling them?
There are plenty of S Max with these wheels on - as standard.

Apologies - I thought you had purchased a space saver wheel.
Yes a full sized steel spare is fine.

I have a trolley jack. I'd imagine any scissor jack would do.
