Hi, I have a 1992 Scorpio with a double unit FD2008. I have the codes for both units, the tuner/tape unit comes to life but there is no sound and not sure if the tuner actually picks anything up. After putting the code in for the CD unit the display just goes blank and you have to take the power cable out the back to reset it. Anyone know what the problem might be, if its common and fixable. These are also linked to an amp, could that also be faulty. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

If your not getting any sound there's a good chance the amp has gone.Have a look on eBay to see if you can get the whole lot replaced. Should be cheap.
