Since i have had the car it seems to be on and off that the car struggles to start?
Sometimes it will start instantly when turning the key and other times it will chug and i have to rev the car to get it to start.
I have tried also waiting until all the dash lights go out and then starting which i thought made the difference as it started more frequently instantly but then its still chugging sometimes.
No error codes stored / recent ford service 1/12/12
Any ideas?

I'm guessing it's a diesel? If so, when were the glow plugs last changed? Is there any pattern to when it's worst, e.g. colder weather?

Will do,
I did check the battery voltage using the on screen test and it showed 14.4 V while the engine was running which seems normal.
My friend who has a brand new ford fiesta said his car was doing that and he had to have the ecu reprogrammed by ford to rectify the issue?
Could this be the problem? Will it cost me a fortune?

its worth popping in they will likely charge a diagnostic fee though this varies on price from 65-90 pounds
