Well I thought it was about time I rolled all my threads in to one and save spamming the Focus forum each time I do something to the Focus I said I wouldn't do anything with when I bought it

Very nice Alex , i like the Zetec S grill and the Fogs  i will have to do some searching :)

alexp999

Thanks, got my rear spoiler ordered last week and on it's way, though as mentioned in your thread it will be a couple of weeks due to me beating them up on price, so is on a slow service, lol.

Just hope it doesn't take too long for the sun to blend it in, could look a bit wierd to start with as there is no colour matching "needed", they'll just make up the colour my car was painted when new....

I got the Fogs in from the US (genuine ones), but my dealer was quite happy to fit them for me when they did the grille. I would have done the grille myself if not for the parking sensors, it was practically impossible to get the grille off my old Fiesta because of them.

Preee

My spoiler still has a slight difference in shade , but i'm not that bothered as you can only see it if you focus on it.

b4zz

very nice car fella

alexp999
Got a message this morning to say the spoiler was ready :O

Thought it was going to be ages, only problem was I popped in at lunch and there is a mark on it, so is having to go back to the body shop to see if they can buff it out.

Still much quicker than planned so shouldn't be long now :D
Preee

Wow that was quick , but sad that they call you out and not check their work.

alexp999
In their defence it was a pretty minor mark only picked up by the halogens in the showroom. It looks just like a slight surface mark on the lacquer so hopefully won't take too long to sort.

The guy was more than happy to get it sorted, said it needs to be right and he'll get it done. :)

With any luck they'll get it done tomorrow and I can pick it up ready to fit this weekend.
b4zz

that was very quick fella and will wait for the pics to arrive on here once they have sorted the defect out on it

alexp999
Not ready yet, message has been left for bodyshop to call me on Monday to let me know how they are getting on.

I was happy to wait before when I thought it would be ages. Now I know it's sat up there 99% done its become an agonising wait, lol.
alexp999

Got a phone call just after lunch to say it was ready. They ended up re-spraying it, said it wouldn't look right otherwise.

Just picked it up and it is now sat in the back of my car ready to be fitted, now the big question, will there be enough time to fit it this evening when I get in from work.......?

alexp999

Here it is when I got home:

I have literally just finished fitting it about 10mins ago, looks mint but there is not enough light left to take a pic so you guys will have to wait till tomorrow now :P

One thing I did notice though, the little clear rubber pads on the corners don't actually make contact with anything, are they supposed to?

b4zz

looks a good job

alexp999

After waiting an age for my phone to upload these to Dropbox, I can finally post up some pics I took at lunch time of the spoiler fitted :D

Really pleased, will take some better ones with the DSLR at the weekend after I have washed the car as it is filthy from dirty rain at the moment. (What you can't see from the pics is that the spoiler is the only clean part of the car, lol).

alexp999

Managed to wash the car at the weekend, although it rained straight after >.<

Was a nice evening when I got back from work today though so thought I would take some better pics:

Thanks, really impressed with the colour matching considering it hasn't been out in the sun long. The camera makes the plastic body panels look a slightly different colour, but in the metal you wouldn't even know the spoiler had not been on since the beginning.

Seeing your car next to mine at FF made the back of mine look so bare, almost naked, lol. Had to be done.

Oh and btw, have you had a chance to find out what the miracle black plastic stuff is? I have had a look at some of the off the shelf stuff but am not convinced.

Preee

Ops i forgot , i will write it down so i can ask him when i see him , he is a taxi driver working nights all the time at the moment so i will make sure i see him.

I need to upload a few pics of the additions i have done on mine , parts brought from China. Mini speaker grills are Ok , door handle Alloy inlays are OK , Cup holder Alloy top trim does not fit ! , Heko wind deflectors fitted real nice :) , and i'm still waiting for the rear bumper alloy protector. , but i will take some pics and upload them.

Alex

haha i finally have the answer for you , i drove him mad this week and cornered him again today.

This is the stuff he gave me

http://www.trafalgardirect.co.uk/prods/48.html

when he brought out the tub he handed it to me to look at and then said to keep it :) , theres about 1.5 litres left.

Applying is simple , small sponge  , i used about 3 table spoons full , to do my whole car before the show.

Nice one, thanks for that.

Will have to see if I can get some at some point. Found an offer on some Dodo juice fantastic plastic trim dressing which I'm going to give a go too.

Do like that spoiler!
Foci_st3
The zetec s spoiler is a nice touch, was my first mod when I bought the car last September and now just done the zetec s grills, got a few more plans which gotta do bit by bit as ment to be saving for a house next year.
alexp999

My car is going through a few problems at the moment, the locking/keyless system is playing up and now the entire set of controls on the drivers door has stopped working (mirrors, windows, etc). Just waiting on some Ford (head?) engineers to get in touch with my local garage, they may have to send someone down from head office to take a look.

In spite of that, I have ordered some new shoes for my car today! Always wanted these since I first saw them in the brochure before I bought the car. :D

And it should look something like this:

Now just got to wait a week or two for them to get them in.....

alexp999

New shoes are fitted!

I'll take some better pictures after I have cleaned it, you'll have to excuse the gold brake discs too, it has only been sat still overnight.

b4zz
liking the alloys and the whole car looks spot on
Preee

Hey Alex , footwear looks great :) and should be alot easier to clean then the Titanium wheels , i remember on my Mk2.5 and all the skin i lost cleaning them.

alexp999

Really pleased with them, especially the off silver colour. It's hard to see in a photo.

Cleaning was part of the reason I changed them, hated cleaning the old 15 spoke alloys. Funny thing, they have actually painted the inside of these rims black so although I can reach in to clean them, you're unlikely to notice, lol.

alexp999

Don't want anyone to think I had forgotten to post, I just still haven't cleaned it, haha!

It is filthy at the moment, but when I was going to clean it, timed in with all that Saharan dust so I couldn't see the point.

Gave the inside a real good clean at the weekend though after taking it for a run around the back roads.

Also managed to finally use the touch up paint as it was nice and fill in a stone chip on the bonnet. Plan to give it a good clean on Friday, polish the rest of the stone chip out as best I can and treat it to a wax.

Then I'll post some pics, lol.

alexp999

Finally got round to cleaning it, lol. It got a real treat too, washed, waxed and first time using my Poorboys Wheel Sealant and DoDo trim cleaner:
