enyoneknow where i can get a piston for my daughters streetka 1.6 duratek,single cam zetek .
Fords wont sell me one just a hole bottom end £800. Just need one piston.
Had a bump must have sucked somthing in the inlet and ruined 1 piston.

you might be best to try one of the online breakers that specalise in ford parts.

have you considered the possibility of a replacement 2nd hand engine? might be cheaper/less hassle in the long run.

Try Ebay,you might be lucky!

Have you had the cylinder head off to have a look? I'm suprised that Fords cannot supply a seperate piston, you may have been unlucky and had a bad partsman serve you, try another main dealer. Havn't had new spark plugs fitted recently have you? Some spark plugs are slightly too long and raise the compression and damage pistons or even contact the piston.
