I am thinking of lowering my 2001 KA
- has anybody done this and is there any down side to doing this. Was planning to keep original shockers. Peter

Original shocks are usually ok up to around 30mm.
Anymore than that and you are best off to get uprated shocks.

I've lowered my ka 2 50mm with original shocks pretty bumpy ride, but not the end of the world

i have lowered mine 50mm too but i have uprated shocks and springs, handling improved no end

Mine was lowered when I bought it. It is okay but you have to be careful going over the speed bumps it always clips at the back haha.

Where did you get it fitted or did you do it yourself?
I really want to lower my Ka, but the insurance will shoot up as soon as i do
