I have a 58 plate Focus Zetec 1.6, recently when I go to lock the car with my fob there is a strange noise which sounds like metal grinding. It only happens on the second push, ie the immobilser. It doesnt always happen but seems to happen after the car has been left for a long time. The car still locks fine but the noise sounds very bad, any ideas???

it sounds like the dead lock operation needs some lubricant,with it being a 58 reg i would get it sorted under warrenty incase its something more serious.
