Does anyone know the official reason why a 1.8 durotorque engine would repeatedly increase in revs slightly i.e 2000 to 2100 when changing gear whilst accelerating!?!
Only I have seen reasons on Vauxhall and Nissan forums saying it's because the temperature of the Cat nedds to be maintained high to allow for lower emissions. Seen other reasons suggesting it's to ease deceleration. It's bloody annoying that's all I can say and has been noticable 1 week after purchase.
Can anyone confirm these reasons to be true or is the car gonna have to go back already for ECU or DMF modifications???
