I dont know anything about cars

What to look for, what to look at, what not to look at???????

I have a similar age 1.8 Focus. Check for rust on the underside of the wing mirrors and door sills. Check for damp in the passenger footwell, This is caused by a dodgy pollen filter cover, Had to replace mine at a cost of about 30 quid but worth checking.

Thankyou, i will check those things. Any idea what causes rust under wing mirrors??? Just seems unusual place, but then again what do i know.
Shall i walk away from sale if rust on door sills???
