if your going to clean get it done as quick as possible and then get inside for some detailing and waxing.
i wont be doing mine until we get some warmer weather though. unfortunatly that means driving round in a black car that looks nearly white because of all the salt

It is good Hammie - but doesn't include a wax, whereas this may be more expensive, but it's better value in terms of the amount of products it contains...
Detailing Starter Kit
You could then go for any of the Dodo waxes - the pictures above show what diamond white can do, I'm loving purple haze on min as a top layer at present as well.
Or this one contains Supernatural, which is in my wax top 5...

Another wax which is worth considering on white is Swissvax Glacier - or of course Swisswax Best of Show but that's £150 a pot

HD looks great on white -

The first detail I ever did on the mk7 was using HD.
Are you using a spray tyre dressing? I've never got on with those. Get some Megs endurance gel and the special applicator, it looks great and keeps everything on the tyres only.

Nothing keeps the car clean in this weather
However - a couple of coats of FK1000P from, say, Serious Performance does help the dirt adhere less and come off more easily at washes.

change of subject but how the hell do you get the inside of a wookies fist dry?

Perhaps turn it inside out. How did the inside get wet? You didn't machine wash it did you? Is it wet just from use in the bucket? I think mine stayed dry inside. Can I put any more questions in this post? What do you think? Can I keep going and going...?
I soon got tired of my wookie and went back to a Megs microfibre.

Same problem with sheepskin mitts, a bugger to get dry on the inside.
I've no experience of the Wookiee's Fist

but the best way to get a sheepskin mitt dry is to keep it open with something like a roll of sellotape inside the cuff & hang it up to dry. Still takes days to dry though.

DanGull

I use two types - both I4D's own. The citrus one is harsh enough to irritate un gloved hands, so I use that only for arches, under the car and wheels. For the paint I use their pH neutral one, very nice it is too.
I have some 3D wax red foam I'm waiting to try also, will report back.
