Hi, i have just purchased my second mondeo and this one has remote central locking (the latest key type). The range is really poor, as in i have to stand right next to the car, I've replaced the battery but its no better do you know why this is?

You may have a fob issue, most dealers or techs with have a tester that test the battery output and range this will confirm your fault
