hi

i have a problem with the indicator arm in my 98 escort 16v. when i put my indicator on and turn a corner the indicator doesnt knock its self off when the steering wheel is straight again also when i flash my lights the main beam stays on. i was wonderin would their be any way of fixin this or would i just have to buy a new indicator arm ?

the other problem is when i accelrate hard there is a rattle from the engine . does anyone know what this could be ? it does it it in every gear except first and reverse. Firstly i thought it was cause i was in the wrong gear but the car doesnt struggle or anything just makes that alarming rattle.

it sound like your indicator arm is past its best but before replacement check the operation of the clock spring to see that its not damaged, as for the engine rattle check the heat sheild is tight.
