Hi guys

Can anyone tell me what year the PAS was added too the escort van...ive just bought a M reg and the steering is just amazingly heavy.

Assuming it was a standard fit on later models would it retro fit too a van of my age.....

M reg was the turning point on the Escorts, some M reg vehicles are the mk5, (no p/s) and some are mk6 (with p/s).

I am sure it can be retro fitted back, but you gotta change the whole steering rack etc

Ahh thanks for that...how can i tell if its a mk5 or 6...any tell tale signs,headlight shape ect.

The MKb had squarer angled headlights, and a flater bonnet, and seperate indicators, the MK6 had rounder headlights and the front indicator is built into this unit, and the bonnet is a lot rounder.
