My S reg escort has just started to switch the main beam on when the headlights are on and I indicate left.

It is taking ages to get it to go off (mulitple switches off indicators and arm back and forward).

Only solution seems to be to turn lights off and back on...not ideal when driving!!!

The radio has also started to go off and on by itself, like it loses power - factory fitted original.

I am not sure what the issue is, either the wiring loom or something causing a short for the radio to play up too.

Any ideas?

Get a new/secondhand set, easy job

As above it'll be the stalk and check the plugs at the back of your radio are in properly.
