following my post about it using water i have had it tested it not head gasket, leaking,waterpump or thermostat but when engine at full opperating temp the rad is stone cold, anyone had this before?

Does the engine overheat? If you think there is an air lock take the cap off (when cold) run engine and squeeze every hose you can safely get your hands on.

if u feel pipes round the engine bay near the radiator at least one should be cold whereas the other may be hot. there are also various bleed nipples BUT DO NOT TRY WHEN ENGINE IS HOT!! u can slacken these when cold and as soon as water comes from the union tighten them but be very careful! had very similar problem with heater matrix on a passat which did turn out to be an air lock! do not scald ureself!
