can anyone help? i have a 2001 mondeo 1.8lx, the heater seems to have a mind of its own, sometimes its hotish and other times its cold (on the hot setting) the temperature gauge doesn't seem to move much either, any help would be greatly appreciated.

sound like you could have a thermostat problem.
