  2. Thanks again for the replies guys. However, Will - I don't think that facia panel would fit my car. The photo I attached doesn't quite show the top edge of my existing panel, but it goes up to include the hazard warning switch. The link you sent seems to have a square top edge, whereas mine would need to be curved in the middle of the top edge to go round the switch.
  3. That's very kind of you Will. As you can see from the photo in the origonal post, my current stereo is the more rounded one. So, given that my current stereo if dual DIN, if I go for a new single DIN stereo, do you need a new facia panel plus a facia plate to cover the missing DIN, or do you retain the facia panel and just need the facia plate? Are the wiring connections identical, so it's just plug and play? Are all car stereo wiring connections generic?
  4. So, would something like this work in Ford Focus:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0033C27GM/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_g23_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1TWJYNDDX49775S6HETE&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294 Where abouts would you get the facia plate from, the fit the Focus?
  5. Thanks John. What kind of aftermarket headunit is compatible with the 2009 Focus?
  6. I am looking to bluetooth my mobile to my 2009 Focus, with the attached stereo, and also connect my iPod. I have the aux connection, but I want the full control of the iPod from the stereo. I bought a Connects2 unit, which I was advised would work with my iPod and stereo, but on installation, found it didn't work, and then the company I bought it from realised it wasn't compatible with my stereo (although it did charge the iPod) So, does anybody have any suggestions for me, or do I have to buy a whole new stereo to enable me to do these things?
  7. AS the title says, I'm looking to get an iPod Classic integration kit for my Focus 6000CD. I already use ther 3.5mm audio output, but want a better system whereby I can control the iPod from the head unit, along with the capacity to charge my iPod and have track listing on my head unit. See a lot a stuff about Connects2, are they the best to go with?
  8. I can play my iPod through the 2.5mm headphone socket in the glove box, but I can't control it from the stereo head unit. I assume if you have the USB socket in the centre console, you can then do so? I have a 2009 Focus, 6000 head unit. Is it possible to get the USB socket fitted retrospectively?
  9. Thanks, silverfox. Okay. The manual descibes how you can play MP3s burnt onto a CD-R/RW, but doesn't specify which model. So we are saying that the 6000CD doesn't support MP3s played on CDs? Is the glovebox aux input an factory fitted option, as I don't appear to have it? I assume this is to hook up an iPod?
  10. BUMP Come on, somebody must know?
  11. I assumed you could play MP3s on a CD in the 6000CD unit, but I get a CD error message. Does this unit actually take Cds with MP3s on it?
  12. I notice that rear parking sensors are available as a factory fitted option on the newer Focus's, but is it something that can be fitted to an 09 plate as a retro fit?
  13. Sorry to be thick here but you don't get Panther Black in non metallic, do you?
  14. In other words, if you see a Ford car advertised as Panther Black, is it definetly metallic?
  15. Have put down a deposit on a 5 month old Zetec 1.6, but am wandering if I should hold out for a 1.8. In your opinion guys, is the 1600 a tad underpowered?
